Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Onyx Distribution, the wholesale film business of Onyx & Sons (“Onyx,” “we,” “us”), collects when you use www.onyxwindowfilms.com, place an order online or by phone, pay an invoice, or contact us, and how we use and protect it.

1. What we collect

  • Contact and business details — your name, shop or company name, email address, phone number and shipping or billing address, given when you place an order, request information or call us.
  • Order details — the products you buy, quantities, order history, shipping method and tracking, pickup details and any notes you add.
  • Payment details — invoices are issued and paid through QuickBooks (Intuit). Card and bank details are entered on Intuit’s secure payment page and processed by Intuit; we never see or store full card or bank account numbers. We keep the invoice number, amount and payment status.
  • Site usage — basic device and browsing data (pages viewed, browser type, approximate location from your IP address) collected by our analytics tools. The site also uses browser storage to remember the items in your order between pages.

2. How we use it

  • To create, invoice, ship and support your orders, and to apply sales tax correctly.
  • To contact you about an order by email, phone or text (confirmation, invoice, shipping and pickup updates).
  • To send offers or updates only if you have opted in to marketing.
  • To run, secure and improve the site, and to understand which products and pages matter to shops.
  • To keep the records that tax, accounting and other laws require, and to enforce our Terms & Conditions.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run the business, and only for that purpose:

  • Intuit QuickBooks — to issue invoices and process payments (your name, company, email, address and order lines).
  • Shipping carriers such as UPS, and Shopify Shipping used to create labels — name, address and phone as needed to deliver.
  • Email, text and CRM platforms we use to send the messages you request and to keep customer records.
  • Analytics and advertising tools — Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel and Microsoft Clarity. These set cookies or similar identifiers to measure site use and ad results. Clarity is configured to mask everything you type. You can limit this with your browser’s cookie and tracking settings or Meta’s ad preferences.
  • Authorities where required by law or valid legal process.

4. Text messages

If you give us your mobile number we may text you about your order. Marketing texts are sent only with your separate opt-in. Reply STOP to any message to opt out and HELP for help, or call 1-877-893-2338. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Mobile numbers and text opt-in data are never shared with third parties for their marketing.

5. Keeping your data and keeping it safe

We keep order and invoice records as long as needed to serve you and to meet tax and accounting requirements, generally seven years. The site is served over HTTPS and access to customer records is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we use commercially reasonable safeguards.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email; reply STOP to texts.
  • Ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by contacting us below. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what we collect and the right to delete; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the analytics and ad measurement described above.
  • Clear your browser storage to remove a saved order from this device.

7. Children

The site and our products are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above is the latest revision, and material changes will be posted on this page.
